Star Studded KSAFA U20 CONFED kicks off

Unveiling a virtual ‘who is who’ in Manning Cup and JFF National U21, the Claro KSAFA Under 20(CONFED) Competition kicked off at some 5 venues on Tuesday, April 6, 2010.

Topping the chart was Waterhouse FC. Prolific JFF U-21 & Bridgeport Manning Cupper, Darren Mattocks scored a brace in the 40th and 85th minute to lead Fire House to a crushing 4-0 defeat of Barbican United. Norman Manley’s, Dean ‘Cheddi Bomber’ Phillips was the first to score for the largely U-21 Waterhouse aggregation and did so with a screamer in the 19th minute. Former Molynes United toddler, Ricardo Samuels carried the Drewsland ‘ big noise’ to a 2-0 lead in the 26th minute. Thereafter it was all Mattocks for Waterhouse

The awesome Harbour View had to come from behind to register a 4-2 victory over Boy’s Town. Sakmar Scott put the Red Brigade 1-0 up with a shocker in the 5th minute. KC Manning cupper, Rohan Roye leveled the score 1-1 for the Star of the East with the first of his brace in the 10th minute. His alma mater, Prince Samuels put the Ludlow Bernard coached Harbour View 2-1 up also with the first of his brace in the 20th min. Sakmar Scott drew Boy’s Town level 2-2 with the completion of his brace in the 35th minute. The Fortis duo of Roye and Samuels then put the score out of Boy’s Town reach by scoring for Harbor View in the 57th and 80th minute respectively.

Playing with only nine (9) players, Bull Bay silenced homesters Cooreville Gardens 3-1 with goals from Romain Mccallum -36th minute; Andre Dixon-67rh minute and Kernardo Hunter-84th minute. Cooreville only goal was a defender’s in the 30th min

STGC captain , Devon Williams 6th minute opener, led Real Mona to an upset 3-0 defeat of Arnett Gardens largely Under 21 line up. Former Harbour View and Wolmerian, Jevaughn Beckford increased Real Mona’s tally to 2-0 in the 35th minute. In the 67th minute, Wolmer’s star Manning Cupper and Real Mona’s acquisition from Meadhaven, Christopher Waugh, then scored the decisive third goal for the ‘silver fox’ coached Real Mona.

Everything was quiet at Edward Seaga Complex when the two Titans, Cavalier and Tivoli Gardens played to a 0-0 draw.

The match between the defending Confed Zone Champions Meadhaven United and Maverley Hughenden did not play due to registration challenge.
