RAE TOWN LOST 3 POINTS AND SLAPPED WITH FINES

The Competitions Committee of the Kingston & St. Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) met on Thursday, February 18, 2010 to consider breaches by Rae Town Football Club for using an ineligible player as well as receiving 6 cards in their Claro Super League game on February 10, 2010 against Cavalier Soccer Club.

The ineligible player – Orlando Walters participated in the Claro Super League game on February 6, 2010 against Barbican F.C. after accumulating yellow cards from matches on October 17 and November 14, 2009 and January 23, 2010. He should have missed the game on February 6, but didn’t and Rae Town won the match 3-0.

In light of the above, the KSAFA Competitions Committee has awarded the match to Barbican FC 3-0 and Rae Town fined $5,000.

Regarding the incident which occurred on February 10, 2010, Rae Town was fined $5,000 for receiving 6 red cards in a single game and referred to the KSAFA Disciplinary Committee for further sanctions.
