ARNETT GARDENS FOOTBALL CLUB MOURNS THE PASSING OF NICO ‘BONES’ COLLINS

The Chairman of the Arnett Gardens Football Club (AGFC), Dr. Omar Davies, the Executive Members and Staff, would like to express condolence to the family, former teammates, friends and the Arnett Gardens Community of the untimely passing of the late Nico Collins this morning.

‘Bones’, as he was affectionately called was a member of the AGFC Under-21 and senior team. He was also apart of the deliberate progamme announced by the Chairman late last year to introduce young players to the senior team. Prior to joining AGFC Collins played school boy football for Trench Town High. He was a Central Defender.

Nico was at training this morning in St. Thomas, where he developed breathing complications and was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital. He died while undergoing treatment.

At the time of his death, Collins was 19 years old and would have celebrated his 20th birthday on February 4, 2010.

Funeral arrangements will be announced as soon as discussions with his family are finalized.
