Cavalier clipped Barbican
2-1 and opened up a five-point lead atop of the Claro Kingston
and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Under-15 Confed
league last Friday. Cavalier, which started the day two points
in front, move to 21 points from eight games and with three
rounds remaining are looking pretty good to lift the title.
Rohan Foster had actually given
the visiting Barbican a 33rd minute lead but Akeem Coombs scored
twice in seven minutes in the 38th and 45th minutes to secure a
come-from-behind win for Cavalier. Barbican which was suffering
their second defeat of the season, slipped a spot to fifth on 15
points.
Meanwhile title contender
Harbour View suffered a major setback crashing 0-2 to Arnett
Gardens for their first loss of the campaign.
Harbour View which started the
day second, slipped to third on 16 points but has a game in hand
on the leader, setting the tone for an intriguing final set of
games.
Harbour View’s conqueror Arnett
Gardens continued their revival after goals by Raffique Bryan
(37th) and Steve Clarke (45th) secured their fifth win from
eight games to move into fourth spot on 16.
Junior Flemming and Rodico
Wellington grabbed a brace each as Tivoli Gardens whipped Real
Mona 4-0 and jumped into second spot with 16 points and with a
game in hand.
Flemming who scored in the 10th
and 46th minutes, sits atop the goal-scoring chart with 14
goals, four ahead of Cornel McKen of Harbour View who drew a
blank.
Wellington got his first and
second goals of the season in the 2nd and 58th minutes.
Waterhouse registered the biggest win of the round thrashing
Mountain View 6-1 with Ashane Anderson netting four times in the
3rd, 23rd, 41st and 55th minutes. Horachio Turner opened the
floodgates in the very first minute with Neiko Williams doubling
the lead in the fourth minute before Anderson took over and took
his tally to seven goals.
Waterhouse with their third win
from eight games remained in sixth spot on 12 points.
Wayne Russell scored a last
minute consolation goal for Mountain View in the 70th minute
which was losing their sixth games from seven matches. They
remained second from bottom in 11th spot on one point.
Boys’ Town blanked Santos 2-0
and leapfrogged them into seventh spot on 10 points. Daniel
Strachan and Tevin Shaw scored in the 6th and 70th minutes
respectively. Santos which was suffering their second defeat
dropped a spot to eight place on eight points.
Meadforest’s perfect losing
record continued losing 0-1 to Cooreville Gardens for their
seventh consecutive defeat and remained rooted at the bottom of
the table pointless. Cooreville which was winning for the first
time moved to three points into 10th spot.
In the Claro Under-15 Zone A
action, Central Kingston remained on top of the standing with 12
points despite their match with Liguanea United not playing.
Rae Town remained second on
goal difference after their games against Swallowfield was not
played also.
Maxfield Park used the
opportunity to close with one point of the leaders after
blanking Bull Bay 2-0 at the Norman Manley High School.
Allman/Woodford secured their
second win edging Rockfort 1-0 and consolidated fourth spot with
eight points, four more than fifth-placed Rockfort.
Brown’s Town registered their
first win dispatching cellar team New Kingston 4-1.
Meanwhile the inactive Constant
Spring continue to lead Zone B with 15 points but saw their lead
cut to two points by Duhaney Park which beat Molynes United 1-0.
In other games played on July
12, Olympic Gardens rushed past Pembroke Hall 6-1; Shortwood
whipped Stony Hill 7-0.
In the only game played on July
15, Olympic Gardens thumped Stony Hill 21-1 to move into fifth
spot on nine points.

league
In Claro KSAFA Under-13 Confed
league, Waterhouse maintained pole position after edging Tivoli
Gardens 1-0 and moved to 10 points from four games.
Real Mona also moved to 10
points from five games after seeing off Harbour View 2-0 while
Santos climbed into third spot after whipping Olympic Gardens
5-0.
Howard Morris netted a
four-timer in the 20th, 36th, 38th and 39th minutes taking his
tall to six goals and pushed Santos to nine points from six
games. Javauni Garwood scored the other in the 41st minute.
Barbican recorded their first win defeating Cavalier 2-0 while
Boys’ Town and Allman/Woodford drew 0-0.
