The
Great West Football Club as it was called in 1968, when the club
was first founded, remained it's name until 1979 when
"Waterhouse FC" emerged from a community aching to be a part of
the Jamaican landscape not only to shed negative perceptions
which seeped into the community from time to time but for being
a solid social contributor to the Jamaican society.
Waterhouse FC became an
affiliate of both the Jamaica Football Federation and the
Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association , in the late
seventies.
Ever since it's inception the club has been a part of the
Waterhouse and Drewsland communities, acting basically as a
buffer uniting the two communities through it's activities.
This is done by providing a
safe place for the youths of the communities in developing their
footballing skills while providing gainful employment for some.
A number of players have donned
the Waterhouse jersey and have given yeomen and distinguished
service to the development of the club, players of the likes of:

the club participated in the Syd Bartlett Competition and
eventually gained promotion to the Major and Premier Leagues in
1984. There the club participated until they were again
